Screen Protectors

I ordered and recd this same protector. I haven't had a chance to put it on yet and today I got an email from Skinomi that they were sending me an updated version that is "more" case friendly. :) I guess the original was just shy of truly case friendly.
That's good to hear. I'm hoping I receive the revision for both of my phones.

Ordered the Skinomi screen protector off Amazon a few days ago and received them yesterday. But, in the meantime I received this email from them as well:

Thank you for your recent purchase of the Galaxy S8/S8 Plus Case Friendly screen protector. Although the initial design you received will work, we have made a slight modification to our case friendly version so that it is compatible with more cases. Please keep in mind, that with thousands of protective cases in the market, it’s impossible to design a protector that would fit them all since each case manufacturer offers different tolerances.

As promised, we took the liberty of creating and shipping a replacement for our updated design.

*There is no charge for the replacement and you do not need to return the one you received.

All Skinomi products are backed by a lifetime warranty program. Should you ever need assistance installing or simply need a replacement unit sent out, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our friendly customer service team is always happy to help.

So, I'm not putting the one that i received on my S8, I'm going to wait on the replacement to arrive.

Received the replacement from Skinomi today and it appears to be the non-updated version. The sku on the packing slip didn't match the sku on the website.

I installed the replacement and made sure it was perfectly aligned. I hit it with the heat gun to speed up the curing process and applied the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and it still peeled.

Emailed customer service and made them aware of the skus and they said they'll mail out the updated version.

Good on Skinomi for standing by their customer but the whole experience sucks. I've had the phone for a week today and haven't been able to get a screen protector on it.

Skinomi taking care of their customers is one of the most important aspects of a product.

I received the updated replacement today. I didn't have a chance to put the old one on before I got the email about sending me an updated version. I installed it lickity split and it really is a nice fit and appears it will be case friendly. I'll put it in the case tomorrow and update but I think this will do until I can find the "perfect" tempered glass (hopefully in my lifetime!). I use a wallet case most days so I think this will do just fine for me. Case friendly is important to keep the skin from popping up but the trade off is the tiny distance from the screen edge to the skin. The build up of dust and oils will drive me crazy. Fortunately there are 2 skins in the box. :)

They sent me a replacement and it wasn't the updated version. I sent them an email and they said to try the ones they sent and they still didn't got.

I ordered an SP from Spigen. I'll see how that one goes.

Received a third replacement today and it finally seems like they got it right. The new version is slightly slimmer on the edges so I'm hoping it stays on after it's done bonding.

I'm using Spigen.

Tried 2 different tempered glass with no luck and 1 other film that the edges just wouldn't stick.

So far the film seems to be pretty decent. Mine is offset maybe 1/2 to 1 mm to the right, I might reapply at some point but its not a big deal. The edge on the left is just to the edge of the case, the right side edge goes under the case lip. Just put it on this morning so still working bubbles out but seems pretty solid so far. Came with 2 films too.

I like the ones made by bestskinsever. Used a Spigen Neo Flex till the other day. It was good, but the bestskinsever is better imo.

Has anyone found a good film screen protector that works well with the Unicorn Beetle Pro case?

I installed the case-friendly Armorsuit screen protector because I've had good luck with them in the past. As for the Armorsuit screen protector itself, it does have a slight 'orange peel' effect, but the edges adhere nicely and don't appear to be lifting thus far. It works well enough with bumper-type cases, but the Unicorn Beetle case (and likely other heavy duty-type cases) seems to be putting too much pressure on it causing it to bubble up.

The one from bestskinsever might work. I'm using one with my otterbox defender and it looks and works great.

I just ordered this one from Amazon.ca: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0...hawk-future-ca-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5817420
Has pretty good reviews. I like wet applied clear ones.
Apparently it ships with a clear case according to some users (didn't notice that before ordering). I already have one of those, but maybe the one it comes with is more "protector friendly" at the edges...
We'll see how it goes.

Got the screen protector. Good fit with proper cutout location for the sensors at the top. It does come with a free clear rubber case (which isn't mentioned at all in the listing).
I applied it (wet) all all went well, except for one mistake by me where a piece of lint landed on the sticky side just before I put it on, so I'm stuck with that near the edge).
Overall it is sticking well and no lifting at the edges. I am careful when I install/remove cases though. It's pretty case friendly.
For the low price and the free case (if you don't have one), can't complain.
Bundled with another Amazon order and you get free shipping.
