Screen quality question

For those with an S4 Active would you say the screen is the same image quality as say a recent iPhone or HTC one for example?

I'm not really happy with the way AMOLED looks with the terrible white balance and wacky colors so I'm sort of hoping the active might be for me.

Having had an iPhone 5 that I just gave to my wife, a Htc One that I still have and a Galaxy S4 that I recently sold to get the Galaxy S4 Active maybe I can help answer your question. In short, yes. I would say better than iPhone, on par with Htc One and as far as usability outdoors far better than standard S4. The colors tend to be more natural looking for me than what I experienced on the standard S4. Some may like the more vibrant colors displayed by an amoled screen and often they do look really good, but for me the ability to see my screen better outdoors outweighed brighter colors. Don't get me wrong the colors on the Active are great just not the same as an amoled screen. The Active is a great phone and I am using it daily. Good luck with your decision.
