Now I compared a movie on a few phones, the movie was an AVI file of Avatar

The phones used were:
Samsung Captivate
Motorola Droid
Motorola Droid X
HTC Thunderbolt
Samsung Droid Charge

Now the Captive by far had the best screen of them all, while the movie looked good on all of them I did not see much of a difference between the Thunderbolt and Charge

Am I missing a setting on this phone for the screen? I figured there would be a big difference between them but there was not. I have become incredibly obsessed with screen quality since seeing my fathers Captive

Thanks
Ray

Wow really? The Charges screen is the best hands down. The Captivates screen has a blueish tint to me. But to each his own I guess. Everyone that I have shown the screen to is blown away....including my wife that had the Captivate and now my old Thunderbolt.

Sent from my Samsung Droid Charge using TapaTalk.

I believe the captivates screen is a super amoled, while the charge is super amoled plus. A lot of people also say that the charge's screen is the best on the market.

dont get me wrong it is a great screen but the video just looks better on the captivate.

None of this will probably matter as the Charge does not get a 4G signal in my house and the TB does so I might have to return the charge.

I had a Fascinate (Same screen as Captivate), TBolt, and Charge all next to each other at VZW, the Charge def has the best colors, no "PenTile" effect with the new sub pixel layout. You've posted on how your charge doesn't get 4G in another thread. Your Charge might just be a lemon.

replaced my charge this morning so I will play around with it some more today.

It is staying in 4g more then the other phone but still dropping into 3g and my thunderbolt almost never went into 3g

I would expect that the phone is defective if the screen doesn't blow you away. Everything I've read, and the Charge that I played with, looked shockingly beautiful.

this screen does look better then the other one but it still looks better on the captivate, maybe because the screen is more blue and the movie avatar has a lot of blue so it just looks better :)

The Charge display appears very oversaturated to me. It doesn't look natural. Is there any way to adjust color saturation on Android phones? I'm new to the OS and could find only display brightness setting.

I think its the 4.3 inch display on the charge with the same resolution as the other phones 480 x 800. So the image looks stretched I'm sure. The colors should of looked better on the charge. The screen tech on the charge is better but resolution does matter. Like the iphone has the highest resolution with 960-by-640 and its only got a 3.5 inch display. So the bigger the screen they should start to push out a higher resolution or the image just won't look as crisp like its supposed too.
