Screen Questions

Up until 2 minutes ago there were a bunch of check marks running along the very top of all screens, over 10 of them in landscape mode. Also, there was an icon in the uppermost left corner of the hom,e screen that had a red circle with a number in it over an envelope. I decided to do a battery pull because I hadn't done one since I first got the phone yesterday and added a bunch of apps and have been playing with the phone a lot. Figured it couldn't hurt to refresh things. So now, those icons are gone. No check marks and no red number in left corner. What did those icons mean? Why are they gone after a battery pull? Thanks for any help on this one.

Did you recently install a bunch of apps? Usuall that means that one or many apps were installed correctly.

That's exactly what they are.

So, the check marks and red number represented apps that were awaiting installation?

They show that the apps were installed. Pull down the notification bar and you'll see what's been installed as well as any failures.

Next time pull down your notification bar and read what it says. The check boxes were for application downloads that completed. The other was indicating you had multiple messages waiting in probably more than 1 email account or such.

Thanks, all. Actually, when I tried to pull down a check mark only a blank gray bar appeared then retracted when I took my finger away.
