Screen Ripple?

Hello everyone this is my first post so I'll start off by saying hi. I don't have a droid x of my own yet, but the other day i went into a verizon store to play with one. While I was messing around with it and checking it out more closely, checking out build quality etc, I noticed that if the screen was pressed somewhat hard it rippled. Like the glass was touching another panel, or something of that sort causing a distorted, rippled look. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem or was it just a broken display unit?
Thanks :p

Was the screen water with leaves floating in it? If so it is the live wallpaper and you saw the rippling water.

LCD screens do that (touch your monitors screen hard if you have an LCD). The Gorilla Glass has more flex so if you press hard it will ripple as it bumps the LCD panel.

Oh ok I didn't know that, because back when I had the original Droid it never did that no matter the force put on it, so I was just wondering. Does your X's screen do that too? Thank you.

Yes, when I get over zealous playing games I can press a little hard. It is scary but unless you intentionally are trying to crack the glass, you should never be able to crack Gorilla Glass. Youtube Droid gorilla glass if you are still skeptical.

I believe you, I know how strong it is it's good stuff, I just want to make sure everything is all good before I buy it, sorry I am a bit OCD about phones haha. Now only if I can find one I'll be in business .
