Verizon Galaxy S8 Screen Rotation Video Control Help

OK I'm sure there is a setting to correct this but I can't find it. When your watching any Videos and you rotate the screen in Landscape mode and the Video fills the screen the slider bar for the video is in the curved part of the screen at the bottom and is really annoying to try and skip forward. Any way to correct this? Thanks.

which player do you use?

The player doesn't really matter, it seems to be any video from any site.
