Screen sensitivity issues anyone?

I can also confirm that this solved my unresponsive screen.
No issues since :) Hope this helps someone else, because the unresponsive screen is the most annoying thing ever!!!

For touch screen problem try this:
-in dialer type *#2663#
-TSP firmware update (general)
You should see "PASS"

This method solved my unresponsive touchscreen issue.

Just done this to fix the touch screen issues on my phone, works a treat!!

Virtual beer to all of you who have helped, the phone was heading for the bin!

Just started having this issue. Removed case and screen protector. Ran the VZW software repair and didn't help. Seems very intermittent. Anyone have any suggestions before I call Samsung and they have me factory reset (which I've already done) and see about a replacement?

After trying everything, sent it back to Samsung where they replaced the display and updated firmware. There is no common software repair. The phone now works perfectly!

Just out of curiosity, do any of you guys have Samsung Pay installed? I seem to have the same issues as everyone else.

-Sensitivity starts to stop responding after 2 week mark
-Works fine at first with screen protector and case from day 1
-Removing screen protector and case does not improve the screen sensitivity
-Factory reset resulted in same unresponsiveness (3-4)
-Pull down menu seems to be the worst
-Edges also seem to be more affected than center
-Screen sensitivity worst while laying on flat surface

Ok so I bought a brand new unlocked tmobile version of the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920TZKAXAR). Worked fine at first, 0 problems with sensitivity. Installed tempered glass SP and put in case. Worked fine for 2 weeks. Then it started to slowly stop responding. Especially while laying flat. Could not get it to register any taps. I would sometimes have to press or even tap really hard 5X to get anything to register. I factory reset it. Seemed to improve a little but not completely. After a day decided to factory reset again. Still same. Removed the tempered glass screen protector and case. No improvement whatsoever with nothing on it for days. Did a replacement and got a new one. The new one worked fine again. This time I decided to use the phone stock with no new apps except Samsung Pay, everything else was stock. Right at the 2 week mark, it started to stop responding again. Grrrrr. This time I deleted my Android backup. Factory reset the phone and did not install Samsung Pay. Phones been working fine ever since (4 days now).

So I was wondering if any of you have Samsung Pay installed. Cuz I think that was causing my issues.

Interesting. Having exact same symptoms. Phone is enroute to Samsung. Will check when it gets back. Samsung pay was installed.

Try and factory reset and manually install apps. The first phone I factory reset but because Samsung Pay was on my Android backup, it just installed it back without me noticing and maybe that's why the factory reset didn't work. The second phone I deleted the android backup and just manually installed everything and now it works fine without any traces of Samsung Pay.

This worked well on my AT&T S6.

you need to include the "asterisk" *#2663# - it's not a call out number - it brings you to a technical screen to update the firmware...

USE *#2663#:)

On my Verizon S6, I called BB Geek Squad, They informed me to take it to Best Buy and let them check it out. Geek Squad messed with it and took it over to the Samsung booth. Samsung reps played with it and reloaded software, told me that Verizon disables the keypad fix and that the phone is definitely messed up and that I would have to call 800-Verizon for a replacement.

Typing, swiping, scrolling... all the above are delayed and at times non responsive, i have done the safemode deal and its still acting up. Never had these issues and have been w/ galaxy since S4. when it lays flat on a table, its even worse . Anyone having these issues.? do i need verizon to just give me a new telly?

Same issue here. I have researched and researched and researched some more and nothing has worked. The phone dialer menu for firmware no longer works. (I know it has worked for others in the past cause i seen videos on youtube of this working but i guess they are not allowing it any longer) Is there another way to update the firmware?? I have tried everything from reboots to clearing catche and even a factory reset twice but nothing works.

I had the exact same symptoms as you, including laying flat seeming to amplify the problems. I tried safe mode and a factory reset, to no avail. Verizon ordered me a replacement and I've got the new phone setup the same way my problem device was and 24 hours in, it seems to be ok.

Samsung said they replaced the LCD screen on the phone. Because the snow here delivery was delayed. Hopefully it'll be all fixed up.

When connected to a charger, my phone works fine basically all of the time. The problem comes and goes, but happens exclusively when it's not being charged.

Yesterday, I used Verizon's software repair assistant. It did wonders for my phone, and now it works like new. To access it, plug your phone with the original cable into your computer. Then, there should be an icon on your desktop called "Verizon Mobile", or something along those lines. Double click on that, then navigate to the Verizon logo icon, and it should start to install. After this, you can either update your phone, or repair it, which will backup and delete everything on your phone. This problem must be software related, at least for most people. Granted I've only been using this solution for less than a day, I'm hoping it will last long term.

I had these issues with 2 brand new S6's until finally I figured it might be Samsung Pay. If you have Samsung Pay installed try the below.

After I did this all my problems went away.

I tried this route last night. So far, so good! :)

I too have had these touchscreen issues on two S6's. Verizon customer service has been very accommodating and my 3rd S6 is on the way. I will leave Samsung Pay alone on the new one and see if that makes any difference - thanks for that tip. Nothing else has worked. It is completely random how the screen acts - sometimes registering touches, sometimes not, with case, without case, with glass screen protector, without - laying flat is most definitely worse than holding it. I've factory reset it, re-installed apps manually, checked settings, bought 3 different cases - arggghhhh!! I do not understand how such a "great" phone can be so messed up! And if it is Samsung Pay - that is ridiculous. They advertise this great app - it only works on several models, including the S6 - and then it causes the phone to malfunction?! This is my first experience with a Samsung device and I have to say, it may be my last. Here's hoping third time's a charm!
