Hello,

My screen has shifted up. The notifications are cut off and you can see a black space on the bottom. Any ideas?

I tried to screenshot but the screenshot looks fine. But looking at the phone I can hardly seen notification bar. I tried resetting

I see you are a new poster here - welcome to Android Central!

Hmm, I do see the black bar at the bottom of your screenshot. I have yet to see anything like this before! Have you tried changing your wallpaper, or have you recently changed the visual layout of your wallpaper to make it wider to the screen or shorter?

Lastly, how long have you had the phone? It would be worth mentioning this to Samsung's customer service to see if they have any suggestions for you, as well.

Keep us posted!

You will have to take a picture of it with another phone. A screenshot will capture what's on the screen. If the screen has actually shifted it won't show up on a screenshot.

Thanks for the replies. I hadn't noticed the screen protector had shifted down and it has built in black borders. I took it in to Verizon and they replaced the screen protector(zagg) for free. Thanks for the help

Always go with the simplest solution first. This is kind of a bitter/sweet resolution. Great that you resolved the issue, the not so great that you did a complete factory reset and all of the inconvenience that it entails.

We might delete entire thread as it was a simple and rare problem caused by careless placement of protector.

Don't delete this thread! It totally just saved me a lot of headache!
thanks!!
Mine actually was placed fine but shifted because I had been sitting on my phone during a meeting!
