Screen sleep

Hi everyone I was using my new toy the other day with My tracks App and if I didn't keep touching the screen every couple minutes it would go to sleep. So like every techie I went to settings both in the my tracks and phone and could not find any setting to keep screen on the phone setting has a max on time of 10 minutes. So how is one to use this as a GPS when the screen goes dark you have to wake it up and unlock the screen. I sent this info to HTC hoping they fix this with the next update! Any body else find another setting somewhere i'm missing I also downloaded the factory manual and found nothing!!!
