Screen time out and security lock question

I have set e screen time out to never as i do not like it going out when driving, I did not notice my screen lock show up this morning, does setting the time out to never disable the security lock function?

Without a screen timeout your phone should only lock when you reboot, or manually turn the screen off. I wasn't aware you could turn off the timeout except through an app that keeps the screen "alive"

you can go to menu> Settings > display > screen timeout

And set it to never time out. Screen should always be on, expept as you said above. . No need to install an app.
