Hey my name is Louie, this is my first post actually.

Im on here because my Galaxy S3 began to act weird. It started as when I clicked the power button it would shut the screen off, as it should, but then about three seconds later the screen would turn back on. Its gotten worse, as now it will randomly shut the screen off when im using my phone (watching a video, texting, etc.) without me touching the power button. The option screen to shut your phone down also keeps popping up randomly. Lastly, when i want to turn the screen off, sometimes it won't when i click the power button. My feeling is that because all these have to do with the power button, im guessing something is messed up with the button. Ive done a reset which didn't help at all. My phone is not rooted or anything. Any advice helps. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.
I would try a cache clear in recovery. Here is how: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-into-recovery-mode-galaxy-s2-s3-tab2.html

Unfortunately it didn't help any. Also, when i shut my phone off, it keeps doing very short vibrations, about one every three to four seconds.

It seems as though my power button is messed up. I tried booting it again and i had to do it a couple of times for it to recognize i was pressing the power button.

It may be a problem with the board inside the phone.
