Screen turns on by itself

I've noticed lately that occasionally my screen will turn on or wake up from lock screen without pressing buttons. It stays on for 10 seconds then goes off. It will repeat this every 30 to 45 seconds for maybe 5 mins than quit for a while. I've noticed it happening twice in the past 3 days. Buttons are all in good condition and not sticking.

Any help?

This happened to a friend of mine a while ago, and it WAS his power button array. At first it did not seem to stick or wiggle, but after a while, it would just wake the screen with the slightest grazing. It got so bad that even the normal bending inside a PTU case caused it to turn on. Replaced the power button, and now his phone is back to normal.

I don't think it's that cuz it happens while sitting on the table. I just picked up the phone and put a little pressure on the button and it didn't turn on

Are there any messages on the notification window? It could also be the Media Scanner process if you have a faulty SD Card inserted or with a corrupted file in it.

No notifications or anything popping up. Gallery doesn't lag like it did a long time ago when I did have a corrupt picture on sd.

Umm... Any motion gestures activated that shouldn't be? The only other thing I can think of is a loose connector around the USB port, which could cause your phone to THINK it's being charged or plugged in, thus, lighting up the screen briefly.

Try booting into Safe mode and see if the problem persists.

No never did. Finally got upgrade cuz battery life was horrible
