screenbeam mini 2 will not play videos after updating phone to Oreo 8.1.

Updated my Samsung galaxy J7 Refine to Oreo 8.0. I use phone to stream video to my tv with a ScreenBeam Mini 2. After the update every time I try to stream a video the screenbeam disconects. It still mirrors my phone screen just fine, that is until I try to stream a video, then it disconnects.
any help is appreciated.
Seems to be directly connected to the update.
