you have to press volume down + power buttons simultaneously briefly and release them immediately, NOT keep pressing and holding those 2 buttons. I did this same silly error when i first got my note 10+.

I hate the swipe to take screenshot option, so unreliable!

This. Just press and let go. No holding down.

My hero! I found this thread because I couldn't take a screenshot (I get the power off option with the usual press and hold, and screen swipe worked exactly once).
