Is this browser related or OS related?
And can it be fixed? Because I'm in a phase of switching from ios to android. Would be a bummer if I paid more than ?700 to lag while I'm scrolling text or in browser

The site is bad designed. The reason why its taking longer to load and it looks laggy is because it load all the articles. For example after the browser loads up, if you swipe left of right you will see the next article preloaded. But in chrome it doesn't happen. It loads only one article just like the iphone which is smooth.

It's browser related. Even Chrome can do better and it ain't the fastest browser either (although I'm starting to think it is the most working one).
Also, in order to make fair comparison to such a puny little phone as iPhone, I would put the browser to multi-window so that it too has only few pixels to calculate. Funny how less data makes it faster.
