Can't copy files to my external SD card on my Verizon Galaxy Note 2, with 4.4.2.

Have NOT rooted - is there a fix?

That's part of Kitkat now. You can still use your computer to transfer files to sdcard but you can't use a file manager app anymore.

Are you aware of the reasons for the locking down of external cards when they AREN'T sitting in your PC? KitKat and SD cards — what's fixed, what's broken and what's misunderstood | Android Central

I read that earlier and I do agree that it is a good reason. However I think that most people like to have things neat and orderly. So I would imagine that there is a way to be able to grant access with the users permission. Or make the My Files app built into the phone more user friendly. But that being said we can use the my files app and do the same as with ES File Explorer. It just isn't as pretty or intuitive. You can use File explorer to rename files though.

Brandon
