I have had my note 7 for a week and everytime i put a new sd card in it after a couple hours it says ita corrupt. I even factory reset the handset. Any ideas?
It could be the type of cards your putting in there and who manufactures them. It also could depend on how they are being formatted. I'm just throwing some ideas out there. I have a 128gb sanddisk and haven't had any issues.
Having same issues. I have the SanDisk Ultra 128 (the all black one). It was working for a while, now it's not working at all. I tried reformatting it on the Note7 and my laptop and no luck.
This is the reason I'm getting the gear fit 2 instead of the 256gig card.....With all cards you run the risk of corruption and I believe the card would corrupt before I even use all that space.....With these larger SD cards they really need to build in true memory management program on the phone to help possibly Defrag and keep the memory health.....
One thing I have learned is don't use your card for too many devices. They get worn and may not work for some devices. That's why I opted for the 256Gb card. It will be new and no other device bit my note 7 will play with it.
Speed ratings make the difference here. I have a 128Gb that can write at 80 and it works great. Now my 128 that writes at 20 runs like crap. It works fine in my tablet just not any phones. Right now I'm using my samsung 64Gb that writes at 90 and it reads way faster than I expected in the note 7. Can't wait to see what the 256gb does.
I am novice, but if your sd card is not one of those fakes, connect it to a pc via a USB adapter.. In windows, the sd card is going to show up as a drive letter, such a E:,D:, etc.. Go to a dos window and if E: is the sd card, type chkdsk E: /F
