my sim card seems to work but not my sd card. it randomly reads it and then says sd card taken out. i tried alot of sd cards. someone help!!!!!!!!!:( but on my s3 it works perfectly fine. but not on my note 3

Welcome to Android Central! The phone's SD reader might be faulty, or there might be some debris in there that is interfering with the contacts.

You might back it up somewhere just to be safe until you figure it out. Nothing worse than losing data and looking back thinking you could have backed it up while you had the chance.

If the SD reader is faulty, you should bring the phone to a repair shop. But you should also check to see if there is any debris in the SD slot. Use a can of compressed air to blow the area out, and use a Q-tip to swab the contacts with some rubbing alcohol.

Good advice on the canned air and alcohol. Also might install it several times. When the copper contacts rub against each other several times it can do a good job cleaning them too.

My Note3 was fine until I did the recent update; now the phone randomly states the SD card has been removed, then reinstalled. Also, when I turn my phone on it frequently states: preparing SD card. I have removed and reinserted the SD card a couple of time; I don't think that is the issue.
After the update in April screwed up the signal on my Note3 and now the SD card issue, I'm wondering if a basic phone would be a better choice.
Feeling a bit frustrated.
