SD Card Folders

I recently purchased a Galaxy A5 (2017). I inserted an SD card and on the card are 2 file folders which also are full of file folders and so on. The one folder is named "Android" and the other one is called "Lost Dir".(See Pic) I tried to delete them but they won't delete. Are these folders necessary for me to be able to store pics on my SD card? Also there is no DCMI folder for pics. Can I create a new folder for that myself?

Those are auto created.
And dcim will also auto create when you open camera app and then use settings to save your pics to SD card. Make a picture to set it in motion.
Same goes for other parts where you specify in their settings if they can use sdcard.

Thanks much for your quick reply TFBisquit. I sort of thought that might be the case, however every time I set the SD card as my preferred storage as soon as I take a pic it says can't save to SD card and goes back to internal storage. Don't know why that is happening. Oh well I'll get that figured out one day too. Thanks again.

Try formatting the SD card.
