SD card getting loaded up

So ive noticed that after rooting my Dinc that there is all kinds of stuff on my sd card. It looks like any time you even look at a rom from rom manager it leaves something on the sd card. Im getting ready to partition my sd card which will require a full wipe, so I need to move stuff off first. I dont want to move around a bunch of stuff that I dont need, so, is there anything from the rooting process that is put on the sd card that you have to have? I would imagine that if its on the sd card its expendable.
