SD card help

Hi all.

I have just purchased my 1st ever android device.

I am real confused over the movies.

The main reason for my purchase is because I travel a lot for work and the specs say a micro SD card up to 128gb would work.

I have put a 64gb card in.

my movies are all mp4

Only 2 of my films work on the card. None of the others play.

They do however play when stored on the device.

If I connect from a laptop and drag files it does ask if I want to convert but this takes 10-12 hours depending on file size!

converting files would not be a problem, I am used to doing this for ipod.

Can anyone offer a reason/solution or the settings for a file converter?

First check the card. If it's formatted FAT32, and you're putting files larger than 4GB on it, they're not actually getting there - the card has to be formatted exFAT.

Second, I'd opt for avi. It's poorer quality, but the files are smaller. Then find an app that will play avi files. (The phone doesn't play the movie, an app does,(
