sd card issue

Hi folks, I have am having an issue with an sdcard on my 7.7. When I try to move or copy files from the internal storage of my tablet to the sdcard, I get the following error message.

Move Error java.io.FileNotFoundException:/mnt/sdcard/extStorages/SDCard/.....(Permission denied)

I have seen other people mention that you need to identify the path for your sdcard and then change it through preferences in Astro or File Expert. I have identified the path and defined it properly in preferences. Also, I can transfer information from my computer to the sdcard when i connect via USB.

My tablet is not rooted.

Does anyone have any idea as to what I am doing wrong or any possible solutions?

I haven't tried moving files from the device to the sdcard until just now because of your post and I was unable to do so using HD file manager, I wasn't even getting an error it just didn't work. Just like you I haven't had any issues moving things to the sdcard via computer. If I find a solution I will let you know and please do the same if you find the solution.

This is a known issue that I've seen discussed, either here or at XDa--developers.com. I can't remember the details but it involves editing a file to modify which groups have write permission on the external SD.
