SD card not being read on new Optimus S

Ok guys here is the deal

Dropped my old Optimus S, decided to get the same phone, less hassle that way, plus I really do like this phone...not too complex, not too simple.

Anyway, set it up, assign my number to the phone, get my voice mail and 5 days of text...then slide my SD card in there to get my apps back...and nothing.

The phone WILL however, read my contacts, play my music and see my ringtones and notification sounds.

"I" have to be doing something wrong if all those apps are working, so what is it?

The apparently data may be on the sd card. But. Its not installed on the phone. Even when u move apps to the sd card, it leaves a little data on the phone so the phone knows the apparently is installed. Just re install them

Yea, had AppBrain, here is the bad part though...I had a text from my son saying "Love you Dad" one of the few texts I locked but I guess if I never backed it up or sent it to email, it's gone huh?

My photos, videos etc are all there...saved on the SD card, so that's good, plus I always send thme to drop box at the end of the day
