SD Card plays movies with NO sound

I have a 16gb sd card with some bluray rips on it...I can play the movie fine and it looks amazing, but has no sound. They are in mp4 format.

Mine are regular DVD rips with Dolby 5.1...

im not dure maybe im not copying all the right files or something i will try again and post with results

What are the rips being ripped to? MKV or something else? Are there multiple streams for audio/subtitles, things like that? That might be important. Also, are the rips just straight rips with HD sound and everything? I don't think that the phone can do HD sound codecs. You might have to remix them to regular sound. Does the phone do surround sound? That would be pretty cool.

They are straight BR rips...it mite be the HD sound codecs, but the phone does 5.1 sound

it's probably the codec you are using for the audio. The audio codec your movie uses is not in your phone. Just rip the audio into a format that the galaxy support.

You tried it with the headphones, right?

I noticed that without headphones there was almost no sound whatsoever coming from my MP4 videos... I guess becuase the rip made them pretty quiet.. but with the headphones on, they are clear as day.
