Sd card questions-not promo related

So I have a 256 card I use for my phone storage. I also have a 128 for my gopro for incar race footage. Is there a way to use the usb c connector on the bottom of the phone to read my second card? I've tried directly connecting the gopro, and using a sd card reader but neither show up in my files or with any app that suggests it will read them. Any recommendations??

I had some luck with this. It was hit or miss on my s6 plus for some reason. Always worked on my moto z force.

Thanks for the reply. It was working but it wouldn't load the file type and that's why it just didn't show it. Thanks again
