SD card slot problem

Soooo whenever u put an sd card in my 3 month old thunderbolt it won't turn on. Worked flawlessly til Christmas eve then blaaaamo. Didn't drop it or anything. Said sd card unmounted and I tried to remount it. Said sd card damaged. Ok. Went to Verizon got new sd card for free and blaaaaaamo bolt won't go on. Rep put new 4g card in tried to activate. Signal is down across country now it won't activate. I have no phone at all. We pulled sd card out to get it to go on. I have a refurb Verizon sent me but don't wanna get involved with that cause I'm sure it's jacked up to.

Any ideas.

Wait wait wait ... ??? Why did VZW have to activate a new 4G sim, to install your sd card ? If it were me I would have put the microSD into a full size adapter, and checked it on your PC. (scan/check/fix/defrag)

Oh we did that to and pics came up but really slowly. I did again at home and it was all jacked up. Long story short sd card was bad verizon gave me a new one for free and a USB reader too. Got original bolt up and running. Def didn't want the refurb. Phew. I bought phone at Costco too and they still hooked me up.

Glad its working, but why did they give you a new 4G sim card when you got a new SD card?

Causevthey deactivated device and tried activating the refurb vzw sent me.
