Anyone hear anything about the SD card slot? When it might work?

Rep told me they will enable the slot when we send in xoom for 4g upgrade,

I haven't heard of a specific date, but I'm looking forward to it. To be honest I'm having way too much fun with my Xoom that not having it doesn't even matter to me.

Thought I heard the microSD card will be activated via a software update. Either way... no doubt it's going to be awesome when it hits.

I honestly, don't understand why something as simple as an SD slot wouldn't be enabled with the initial release.

It's a Honeycomb issue. Honeycomb manages memory diferently than previous versions of Android, and it doesn't yet support expandable memory. It's on Google to fix it.
