Over the last day or two ive been getting notifications saying my sd card was unexpectedly un mounted or removed and just now i gat a notification saying sd card is damaged, try reformating. It doesnt appear to have effected any functionality and i can still navigate through the card in a file manager. Is this just a bug in the rom or did it actually damage my sd card? It never had these problems before i flashed wicked sensations

Does everything on the SD Card appear to be intact? Try unmounting the sd card then remounting it. I would also suggest taking a look through the ROM thread and see if the developer has listed it in the known bugs section or if its a common issue.

Everything apears to benin working order and no im not using any sd boosters. As im writing this its cycling through "preparing sd card" "sd card unexpectedly unmounted" and "damaged sd card" and now everything appears to be ok with no more notifications. Very weird, ive been using this rom for about 2 weeks and havent had any issues untill the last couple of days, today is particularly bad

Did you install any apps around the time all the notifications started happening?

Just wondering, is your sd card a SanDisk brand?

I have the SanDisk Ultra 32 gb and whenever I put big files on it, I get that unmounting/remounting/"damaged" card problem. In my case, some of the files do get damaged.

I do have a san disk 32g but i havent noticed any damage as of yet. It stopped for a while yesterday afternoon and then picked back up aroun 8, so powered down and pulled the card. No damage to the card and gave a quick shot of duster to the sdcard slot and then poped it back in. I havent had any issue since. I work in plant operations and construction on the side so it isnt unlikely that some dust got behind it and messed with the connecion. It also could have received a decent smack and shifted the card slightly, anyway all is well for the time being, i guess ill see what the day brings and go from there, as usual thanks for the help everyone

Edit: I dont know how i missed this but i did, so when i said everything seems to be fine i may have lied lol. The side launcher has dissapered and a few things i flashed from the kuban updater are no loger present. Im thinking of restoring back to my pre rom status and flashing again, i forgot to clear everuthing last time but nojing was wrong so i went with it. Restore, cclear all data, flash rom, restore TB for apps and data, hopefully all is well then

I'm not sure if this is ROM related. My phone is stock and I'm having this issue as well. I thought it might be the card since the one I'm using is four years old and hasn't been treated the best, but now that I see this I'm thinking it's something with the phone.

I'm thinking it could be the phone's compatibility with SanDisk cards. My friend had the same problem on her S3 with this brand of cards and she's with AT&T.

She switched brands and it was better, but I don't remember if the problem completely went away. The service people at AT&T reflashed the firmware or something and that fixed it. I'm not sure if it fixed the problem with the SanDisk card because she returned it.

So far so good. I havent had any issues all day, a few things got messed up as a result but nothing major. Im thinking i may just go back to stock root for the time being and flash the hotspot mod and a few others. My google nexus 7 just came in today so im guna see what can be done with that

There have been many reported issues with the sd cards. It is not ROM related.

That I don't know. But I have seen many threads and posts about the issue. And it was stock phones as much as rooted ones.

I see. It seems the issue was isolated, its only happend over that 2 day period and a simple in and out seems to have righted the problen. Never happend before the root either... maybe its time to replace this sandisk with a higher rated card

Get a SAMSUNG branded micro-SD - not an OEM version or other brand.

For some reason, the Samsung brand cards work perfectly, no issues.

My GS3 has gone through 3 Adata 32GB class 10 cards (had to RMA twice because of failure and SDFormatter could not format them)

Luckily I routinely backup to my computer so didn't lose much

I had one of the Samsung 32GB Class 6/UHS-1 cards and never had a problem - but I gave it away to another family member

I'm watching for sales on those Samsung Micro-SD's - those are solid.

It is also the format of the higher class cards that the devices don't like. I have had no problems with any of my San Disk class 4 cards in any of my devices.

Thats why i havent jumped in to getting a new card just yet. I had this sandisk in my evo 3g and no my gs3 and the only problems i have ever had was just those two days, im going to see what happens over then few weeks and then make up my mind on purchasing a new card

I'm still trying to figure out whether or not Samsung has some sneaky code in their software that makes this happen, I'm sure there is somewhere.
