That was a problem back in the ZV9/ZVC era. If you are still using the stock SD card, upgrade to a Class 4 or better card and it shouldn't be an issue.

Based on the information you've provided so far, I would hazard to guess that your sdcard has gone bad.

Probably better to get a new SD card first to see if that's the problem. My local Wal-Mart has 8GB cards for $12 right now (I believe, they were no more than $15.)

Before you try a new card, reformat your current one. I seem to remember that fixing some issues in the past.
