SD problems after kit kat update

I got the kit kat software update on my t mobile Note 3 yesterday. now today trying to save to my sd card isnt working. I can still access things on it fine but anything new I try to save gives me an error and some have said not enough space even though I have 30gb free on a 64gb card. Please help!

It's almost certainly because of the Kitkat update - with Kitkat, Google changed the ability of apps to access SD cards, and many apps will need to be updated before they can save to the SD card. Thanks so much, I found some stuff for fixing it on pocketcasts, does anyone know a way around it if your just wanting to save a pic to your sd card? I had just had a folder labeled download before to use but its not letting it there anymore

The standard picture folder is DCIM/Camera, but I don't know if Kitkat will let you save pictures there using anything besides the stock camera app.
