SD Video File layout

I don't know if it is just me or whatever, but when I place videos or pictures onto my SD card the layout of it would be weird. For example I put 300 pics onto the phone it self and it would list out in order from 1 to 300. When I put it on the SD card it is all jumbo-up and it is hard to find certain files or pics, especially with mini-series. So i was wondering if there was a way to make the layout of the pics/ video be in order when I place it on the SD card. Also I use the default apps to view the files (Gallery, Video player, etc...)
