Search button instead of home button?

Occasionally, when I press the home button, my Captivate registers it as a press on the search button. Are any of you having this issue? Should I get my phone checked out?

Mine does that sometimes and I figured out the other day holding the menu button down brings up search. I think that I'm hitting and holding down the menu button with the side of my finger.
