Second Hand Note 7 Recall Thread

Contacted support and for what it's worth customer service told me that samsung would shortly post return policies for second hand devices

Did the same thing as,listed above. Waited about 30 minutes to get to the recall department. I was told that I would be receiving a,special box with instructions on how to return. Once they receive and verify the device, they would be sending me a check in the amount of 860$ within 10-1 days. Goof news but can't help but be nervous that the check will actually arrive.

thanks for the tips. I initially got the same ticket # and wait 5 to 10 days for an email / phone call update response. Called again and requested that i get a refund and was put through to a refund specialist in the US and will be send a shipping package/ label just like the other users above

I was told 920. I wonder what's the real amount.

I'll be recording the process of sending mine back so I have evidence in case it somehow 'gets lost'.

Called 1.855.726.8721 got my ticket number and transferred to a different line. Told me I have to call craigslist about a refund lol. I dont think they have craigslist in their country or know how it works. Calling the 844 number this time.

I went ahead and put my ticket number into Samsung's look up. nothing came up so I decided to chat with them to get more info on my box status... Samsung has a pile of incompetents.... *see the screen. The guy also said "why are you returning your note 7?" "it's been recalled twice" he kept telling me there's no box and I had to ask my store for a refund. we all know this is BS.

I did the same thing and couldn't find my info on the site. I called back and was treated by so many incompetents, one of whom could barely speak english, that i hung up. I just pray my return is being processed.

that's the only reason I went to the chat so they could understand me. last time I had to spell Gmail...This is seriously ridiculous

just seen that link so Samsung wants to give us a s7/edge that's not nearly worth as much as the N7 even if you got it 3rd party I'm sure everyone paid more than 600...

Honestly I'm kinda in the same position. However, the guy who I spoke with seems to be a specialist who could speak English fluently, and he did mention about Samsung sending me a box with information and labels already on it, I just need to wait a few business days to get the box, and then call them to confirm before sending out the phone.
If this goes through and I get my refund back, I would be happy to wait for the S8 to come out. If not, I guess this is it for me, even though the Note 7 has been my favorite phone of all time...

Kind of shocking how badly run Samsung is.

I am realizing that Samsung may not be as good of a company as everyone thought. When the chips are down, that's when you see who people/companies really are.

I am not an Apple fan, BUT I am positive if this had happened to Apple they would have handled it WAYYY better and more professionally.

It's just shocking to me how little communication there is. I realize this is unprecedented but it shouldn't take 1 week to figure stuff out. I mean come on.

Agreed. Forcing the consumer to jump through so many hoops is just pitiful. How anyone can trust Samsung again is beyond me. Those of us with Notes for months should be given some major discount on the next Note or S8. Samsung isn't going to do that though.

i believe the person said based on your carrier's price + tax so for sprint it would be 849 + tax so around $922.

Guys I think the only way we will all get our refunds is if we stick together and form some group individually Samsung will give us a run around together on the other hand they'll be pressured
