Second Screen Notifications?

How do I get notifications to last longer than .5 seconds on the second screen? I swear, I hear my phone vibrate on my desk, glance over, and the notification disappears. Really frustrating that I don't even get a chance to read it. I've rifled through the settings but can't find any options to extend the time a notification appears. Anyone have any insight?

I find it silly that LG wouldn't include an option for this. What's the usefulness of having a notification disappear after 1 second?

After searching around, I found a thread about the LG V10 where the user had similar issues. Apparently it never got resolved with the 2nd gen?

The only way I get around it, and its not really getting around it, but I double tap the screen and i can read the message on the lock screen.
However, it doesn't scroll, so I can't read the whole message. just the first line.

Notifications stay in the second screen on my V10. They don't go away.

Text messages scroll slowly, leaving only the notification behind.

Yes, sorry if that wasn't clear. I understand that the icon stays on the left, but the details disappear before you even have a chance to read them.

Yeah I understand how that works, but like you said, not really a workaround. Especially considering that bypasses the second screen. Might as well not even include it on the phone at that point haha.

Maybe we should contact LG and demand they put that in an update? Because that's about the only thing I like to use the 2nd screen for. And those notifications COMPLETELY disappear after less than a second on my device

There are some very good tips, and it got me looking through the settings... did you know you can add favourite contacts to it?
