Secure email?

Ok guys, I did some searching and couldn't find much on here. Even search results I got from google were either a year or even 5 years old.

Basically I am looking for secure online email. I've been using yahoo for years but lately I've been getting more and more spam in my inbox and starting to P me off. And last night a few friends said they got an IM from me about taking some iq test. After that figured it was time for a change. Basically Was wondering if you guys have any info on what web based email is the most secure or if you have any other ideas.

Ive had no issues with GMail. I get spam in the SPAM folder ever now and then, but other than that no issues at all...

Yea I have one gmail account for bills and personal stuff. Yahoo is for websites and purchasing things online and stuff. I probably will go with gmail as I'm sure it will play nice with my incredible.

In my experience Gmail has about the best spam filtering I've seen. Much better than Yahoo and Hotmail. -Pk

Not sure. I've done virus scans and stuff like that but nothing showed up. I still get tons of spam though. Yahoo spam filter sucks imo.
