Practice safe browser and device use, only use trusted sources for applications and employ best practices with email.

I don't like having antivirus software on my devices to slow things down. I don't care if others can't perceive the difference when they use such software, the fact is that to process apps and files being opened an antivirus utility is going to have to run a scan taking CPU time and RAM to do it.


That said, I don't game, I don't look for porn or any other free streams or crap on sites littered with pop-up ads. I only open attachments in emails from trusted sources when context of the message makes sense to do so . . yada yada yada...

You don't need any of that.

You would need to deliberately try find and install a virus, to get one on your phone.
