SECURITY: how to "de-Google" my phone...?

Hi Folks,

I'm new to this forum, but appreciate the great power of people helping people!

I've just got a 2nd hand Samsung S9+ and I really love the phone. I'm fairly security-minded, both in the cell-phone world, and in the computer world as well. I'm actually more a computer guy (33 years on PC's and now Mac's), so the mobile world is still pretty new to me.

Having said that, for my own security purposes, I am slowly moving away from "everything 'Google'.." and although I know Google is deeply embedded in the Android architecture, and would like to disconnect all connections possible in my S9+ to the Google data collection and "spying" potentials. I would also like to know what "Samsung" spy features or data collection features I can turn off as well, so my phone retains at much privacy from tracking and data collection as possible. :p

Thanks for any links, advice or suggestions on these topics!
Looking forward to the knowledge and information possibilities here at AndroidCentral!
