I have the galaxy s5 SM-G900V I started getting a security message that reads. Unauthorized actions have been detected restart phone to undo any unauthorized actions. I have done this a few times. Also I have done a factory reset. But still the alert shows up! Any ideas on how to get rid of this.

That sounds a lot like the "Horneyworm bot" that got onto my phone a while back.

I did a lot of research and the only way to get rid of it is to do a Factory Reset and rebuild your phone.

Before you do, make a backup with Kies 3.0, it seems that you can use Kies to restore the phone but the Horneyworm bot does not get restored. It is hidden from Kies thank god....

See my threads.

this is how I repaired the phone.

if you search on my username or just "horneyworm" you should be able to find the thread where I tried to kill that worm to no avail. Factory Reset was the only way back to normal.

I have a brand new Samsung S6 Edge, fresh out of the box, reporting the same Security notice. I find it hard to believe that it's a bot or virus or anything of the sort.

Other threads point to a malfunctioning Samsung "Knox" security app, but haven't found a solution yet...

Have you guys tried speaking with Samsung?
