security patch Feb

I didn't. When I saw this thread, I manually checked and then it found the update to download.

I'm on January (and T-Mobile); no Feb update here yet. No issues with the Jan update however... it was fine and the phone is running fine as well.

my Verizon phone has been running much better today after the update. i was getting terrible battery life after the January update. my phone seems to be back to pre-january update form again.

for the last couple days after updating I haven't been able to load mms messages. I use Google messager, I've cleared the data and cache, but still only loading SMS texts. mms will show up with a loading circle for 10 minutes or so then notify me of a failed download. anyone else have this issue or any ideas how to solve this problem?

No problems since the update, battery life is good ...knocking on wood...all is well in V-20 land.

I got it last night too. Can't believe I got the February update IN February. Does that mean Oreo is coming soon?

only issue I'm having is a message keeps popping up that my email password has changed (it hasn't) and to update it. email is still coming in just fine. very odd

Don't update it y'all, nothing really new. They added useless apps like LG Mobile Switch and LG Bridge Service which took an estimated 10% battery life by running in the background. Regretted updating the phone. I think security updates are just a way to cover up to add more bloatware or update it.

Try deleting your system cache. I recently had battery drain issues, but it was before this update, and that fixed it. After the update, my better life has remained good.

Are you using Gmail or a 3rd party email application?
If you reboot into Safe mode does this message still pop up?
Almost sounds like malware...

There's been malware making the rounds that your Google account will be closed due to non-use if you don't go to their site. Maybe they didn't get enough bites and changed it to "update your changed password". I never tap those links - I go to my Google Dashboard with my PC and check my accounts from there. (Google really ought to add any "click here to keep your Google account" emails to an automatic spam list. They know when they send out emails like that - anyone else sending them is automatically sending spam. Can you hear me, Google?)
