Seidio 3200mah battery - review

You're still doing well, even at 4G. Considering that VZW's new network smokes my home connection by nearly 12 Mbps, haven't even bothered to switch 4G off.

Right now I'm just waiting to see how Gingerbread's battery management will help life of my 1600mAh. Since I'm not willing to flush my warranty by rooting just yet... have to be patient.

Yea and our guess on Gingerbread? They said today. I had a couple random reboots, nothing since i got the new battery though.

I understand, but you can also unroot.

Thanks for the scoop, been wondering about these batteries. I'm already running on a Seidio 1600mAh, but with moderate use, and a combo of 7 email addys including an Exchange box, it's just not cutting it.

What I am not looking forward to is having to buy a new case and holster to boot.

Have you heard of anyone having good luck with this 3200mAh behemoth on LTE? Lasting just over 7 hours on an extended slim... the thought of getting through the day is more than enticing.

Just an update, I have since purchased the Seidio 3200mAh, and couldn't be happier I did.

After initial 5 full battery cycles, I easily get a full day of moderate to heavy use on LTE network. There has been a few occasions I've tried to kill it at the end of the day, and still had juice left prior to plugging in for the night.

No more worries about running dry mid-day, and have even lightened up on some conservative settings in favor of better performance (such as "automatic" display brightness as opposed to a significantly lower setting).

thats just a myth. plus you can unroot it.

Not at all. I feel its the same.

5 hrs later and i am at 53% right now and I really haven't done anything. I mean i am receiving emails and send a couple tests

So i guess to lose 13% @ 4G - i dont know what to say if its good or bad

I guess i have gotten 21hrs so far @ 53%. So I should be able to make it another 24 hours. So really its kind of the same draw compared to my previous test with no 4G being live.

Like i said, if you guys want me to use a battery usage app, suggest it and ill run it and give you stats.

Right now I use nothing because I think they draw it even worse.

Right now my settings are out of the box.

Autobrightness
Bluetooth is on - Always
4G is on, and live currently
GPS - OFF
Weather - updates every 3 hrs
Screen time out - 30 secs
Blockbuster updates are disabled
Friendstream disabled
Stocks - disabled
news - disabled

To the above - Granted your rooted. I wonder what mine would be like if i rooted, i would imagine it would be a lot better then it is now.

To me, I have never had the HTC Extended, i bought the Seidio right away. Always have had Seidios.

The HTC is $50 bucks from Verizon. The Seidio is $59.50 right now because they have 15% off. So for 9 bucks more, you may get a better battery, like i said I am not rooted.
So now that you have had the battery for a month what do you thing of it? How long will it last on 4G?

bought 2 of these have two phones and we llive in a 3G area right now :( but im justa short drive from a 4G area :) and get 26000kbs down loads Awsome!!! any way back to the battery they are the best no problems and our phones last a day and longer. We just spent two weeks in Orlando, Fl on vacation and that is an all 4G area and still had 50% or better (even after playing angry birds while waiting in lines at Disney) at night when plugging back in to charge I only had 1 day were it went fast less than 15 hrs use but I susspect it was an app Adobe reader was running but I wasnt using it and was using alot of battery so i forced closed it and restarted phone and battery was fine after that. I also instaled an app called battery monitor widget 3c from app market it works great for monitoring battery and keeps logs it even lets you check what is using the most battery at different times. Oh yea the battery app is free. now for the extended battery cases I got the seideo surface for wife and covert for me both are great the active does add slight bulk to phone but I need the extra protection my only two compaints with active case is tab needs to be longer for lens cover hard to open with no finger nails and kick stand hard to reach when full covert case in place. as for the surface case the only two complants is the belt hollster didn't have the lock tab for atch like the active holster did and the surface case ony covers back, sides, ant top/bottom corners not hole top/bottom but still nice and no complaints from wife LOL even got the batteries on sale here at andriod central

I still get rough 2 days and half of my day is spend in the 4G area. On the weekends it usually lasts me all weekend without a charge...but thats in the 3G area.

Has anyone who got this battery had the 2750 HTC extended to compare battery door and size? Want to know how similar they are. Is battery door of good build quality being that is where the your attena's are, this is very important to me being it is a 3rd party product.

Thanks for anyone who can answer this.

P.S. Anyone know of 10 - 15% Seido code that is working atm?

They both fit in the Siedo extended covert case. The HTC extended battery door fits better. The Seido didn't want to "snap" in at the bottom. Always seemed a little twisted. Tended to add friction to power button... would resist being pushed and sometimes stick in down position. Both doors are similar sized, but the Seido is more squared off. I like the HTCs more rounded shape.

I have the HTC extended from Verizon .. I'm in 4g in NY a lot and it still dies pretty use I'm like a heavy user how many more hours will I gain from this?

I've read the OEM extended life battery is 2750mAh in compare to Seidio 3200mAh.

Although I can't speak for the performance of the 2750mAh, I would expect you would see significant improvement over stock.

Have heard others talk of benefits of cycling new batteries, 5-6 full charges from flat, to experience best life. Might help with your HTC brand considering the battery composition is likely similar.

Still going strong on a days use with my 3200mAh, sometimes with as much as 30% gas left in the tank at the end of day.

The 3200 is overated. The HTC 2750 holds charge longer.

I own both. I'm currently using the 2750. I used the 3200 for over a month. I had hoped for longer run time.... getting a higher price and shorter run time..... live and learn..... this time the hard way.

I was wondering about that. I have the HTC 2750 and was thinking about getting the Seidio one for a backup but I got another 2750 and I'm glad I did. I also like that the door cover still says HTC 4G LTE.
