Seidio Accessories Now Available

One single feel of the holster vs. the stock Verizon holster and you will never go back. I have used their holsters and extended batteries for years. My last extended battery spent a year in the Storm and is still going strong in my wife's Tour. The cases are nice, but I already have too much invested in multiple multimedia docks and have no desire to take it off and put it on, so I will pass on that. However, if it is like the Blackberry docks, they have an insert so that you can use it without the skins also. Hummm? Maybe I should buy one anyway...

I'm curious to see what the extended life battery is going to turn out like, especially as far as how much mAh they will cram in there. Some of the extended lifers for BlackBerry's are as high as 2700 mAh, so it'll be interesting to see how much they crank it up by for the Droid.

Any word on when the extended battery will be out? That is the only accessory I truly give a crap about.

PS, ChrisKerrigan you are a true nerd updating your signature that fast Droid 2.0.1. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Anyone compare the Seido cases to the $5 snap-on cases on ebay? Is it just a 400% markup? I got a snap-on from ebay and it fits perfectly, stays on, and comes off without a hassle. I'm just wondering if Seido is worth the $$.

LOL! That's nothing, you should have seen my signature on the CrackBerry forums shortly before OS 5.0 came out.:D

FYI for everyone if you have not seen it yet - The Seidio home page now has a graphic of the cradle as well as the extended life battery & cover.

Anyone else have this case and any tips on getting the top piece off easily?

Thanks,
David

Hello David,

Thank you for your interest! We recommend that you start at the bottom of the top cover with the Droid slide open, work with your finger instead of fingernails and gently pry the bottom tab open, then run your finger along the side of the case to the top until the case eases open.

Be careful when you do it, I broke 2 of the 4 tabs the first time I tried to remove mine. I here that Seidio is working on a fix for that because its so tight. Now I have to use a cheap Best Buy case for the screen part until I get a replacement.
The case is pretty nice thou compared to the other cases I have used or looked at. Its the best case made so far IMHO.

I am sorry about your experience and would like to make sure that a replacement is on the way for you. Please PM me your order information and I will be more than happy to see what I can do for you!

I have never purchased seido products but that there is excellent customer service.

It doesn't say online if it does or not, I sent in an email asking because I'm still with out a cradle too.

Here is what they have so far

- Convenient desktop charging cradle
- Features the same soft touch coating found on our popular Innocases
- Discreet power LED on the back of the cradle
- Removable plate for docking your phone with or without an Innocase
- Compatible with our Innocell Extended Batteries
- Charge using your exisiting OEM cable

I have been using their products for years. They make very nice cases. Going to buy one soon as i get Christmas shopping done lol.

I've been considering the holster clip, but I haven't decided yet. I'm also waiting for them to release the extended life battery, as I am on the go a lot.

Here is my review of the Innocase Surface

The case has a high quality build that doesn?t add any extra bulk to your Droid. The back has a cut outs for the speaker and camera, side cut outs for the volume, camera, and USB port the top has a cut out for the head phone jack. One thing I noticed that it seems easier to find the unlock button with the case on.
The case material feels the same as the material used on the back of the Motorola Droid (soft rubber) and the other Seidio cases I?ve used in the past. It feels nice in your hand unlike the other plastic cases I have tried that feel cheap. Locking the case in place is a snap and holds the phone tight with no movement or wiggle and gives the phone even more of a solid feel. It won't affect the slide out physical key board, it will slide out just as easy as before. The lip around the screen is nice, before using the case I was always hitting the search key on the bottom right but after putting the case on I never hit it.
I have been using it now for 10 days and don?t think I?ll ever look for another case. It?s going to add the extra protection I was looking for or adding any bulk.

Does it fit in the media cldock with this case? How about the car dock?

And to think I purchased the Verizon Holster/Shell combo. I had a Seidio clip holster for my Storm 1 and loved it. The build quality on their products isusually (from my experience and hearsay) excellent

Thanks for the report. I ordered one a couple of days ago and am looking forward to getting it, even more so after seeing the closeups and reading your comments.

my seidio innocase doesnt work

I just got mine today and the case is really nice. Unfortunately the front piece doesnt even snap on it just pops off right away. It also feels like the back piece affects the sliding too. Im hoping this was just a manufacturing mistake and my replacement will work. I will let you guys know when I get in. I really like the feel and build of the case i just wish it would fit.
