Seidio ACTIVE X Case (PICS!) UPDATED.

Can you post a link to that case please. Is it better than the otterbox cases? , I was trying to hold out for that one. But prob wont be out for three or so months.

The active case is an in between case comparing to Otter box.

Step above Commuter and step below Defender.

The Rugged series is just about equaly to the Defender, maybe a step up. On my Dinc I was able to Use my active all the time and when I wanted the rugged fit overtop of the active.

Rugged or Defender = excellect rough duty protection!!!

Case #2 - #1,000,000 don't cost that much to make. However, case #1 costs a lot for design, prototyping, testing, creating the dies, etc., etc. No one would buy a case for $100,000 so they have to recoup that cost over all the other cases they make for that model of phone and hope that it's popular enough that they can recover their costs and start actually making a profit. So much more goes into it than just the cost of the materials.

You are 100% correct. People these days want everything for next to nothing.

If they make a case for a phone that's a dud, or is surpassed quickly by another more popular phone, they could lose money.

Companies are in business to make a profit. Profits are not always easy to make.

You are paying for more than just the raw materials.

Canvas and oil pants aren't that expensive, but no one is going to pay as much for one of my paints as they would for a Rembrandt?. and Rembrandt's are OLD tech - MY pantings are BRAND NEW. ;)

The world is becoming one big garage sale. People turn their nose up at a $1.99 app, saying "no way" they would pay "that much" it's only worth $1.49!!

Sometimes I just have to shake my head.

Stop it, Richard. In America, we should only have to pay for the actual cost of items.. not their value nor the investment a company made in that product.

And don't forget that we are "entitled" to; free shipping, no sales tax PLUS we can return it ANYTIME for a full refund. ;)

Guys just to keep things organized I'm moving this thread to the accessories section.

Power Button

You say it's not squishy - is it actually solid silicone or is it hollow? I have seen pictures on this forum of people putting "shims" or duct tape underneath the power button of their case-mate pop! case for the bolt. If it is solid silicone, and sticks up that far - it would solve one of the biggest physical problems of this device in the recessed power button. I guess in other words, I'm asking how hard you actually have to push to get it to register. - Thanks.

I understand exactly what you are saying ;)

It is actually hollowed out ever so slightly to align right over the power button but the protruding rubber piece is solid rubber. Not squishy at all. Feels great to power on and off. Just the right amount of pressure. Not too little to turn on accidentally and not too hard that its annoying. Just right.

No shims needed, and you are correct.... Problem solved. Big time lol +1 for seidio.

wow, seeing your pics make me want this even more...I'm debating on the purple and black or the blue and black...already have the other purple seidio case, but like you said, it comes apart sometimes...can't wait until they release this with colors...also, great review Gman

Decision made - ordered the black and blue holster combo on amazon should be here sometime before summer lol.

This is definitely an awesome case. it even fits (barely) in my droidx leather pouch which is a major plus for when im at work.

Also forgot to add another important feature. The volume rocker is split so its VERY easy to differentiate up from down with a feel of the thumb. Or pointer finger for us lefties!!

Haha, I have that same case for my Thunderbolt. My phone is naked though and I swear it fits better than the Droid X itself. I just bought a pocket pouch that covers everything but the very top of the phone but it's very thin.

Does anyone have any clue how long it takes Sena (Sena Cases - Designer Leather Cases : BlackBerry case, iPhone case, Treo case, iPod Touch case, and other PDA cases) to come out with a case for a device? I'd like a case that's extremely thin but covers the whole phone mostly so it's not damaged in my pocket. My current case covers most of it but leaves a bit open (half of the top ear piece and up). No biggie, screen is covered!

Nice case BTW. I always loved Seidio cases ever since I used the Innocases on my BlackBerries. Sadly, with the battery life of this device and how I only like the stock car charger, I'm stuck without a case. :(

That case really does look nice, if my current one breaks I will definitely look at this one. Looks about the same thickness as the innocase.

Eclipse Is that the Verizon leather case? You have any specifics on the model or just droidx? Thanks
