Seidio announces evo accessories

I have used a Seidio case on my BB8350i now for over a year, unfortunately the one I have is crap, BUT the new styles they are making are better. The 2 piece top and bottom design is much better then the old half on top of the other half style. In fact as much as I was leaning towards an Otterbox, I will go Seidio now because at least they have come out and said what they are going ot be offering. I emailed Sales at Otterbox and got a terse look at the website that is all we offer! email back. As for the holster I can only talk from experience on the 8350i and it was well worth the money spent, the phone comes out easy and goes in just as easy. It holds the phone well, BUT if you carry things such as boxes and stuff you do have to be careful with the boxes unhooking the phone and the phone coming out, this only happened to me once, after that I was more careful. Hope that answers any questions...

Thanks for the answer about 2 piece. Anyone have any idea how the case surface affects pocketability? Will the case "slide" into a pocket?

I've had an Innocase or Innocase II on a BB Curve 8330, BB Storm, BB Tour, and a Moto Droid. I will never buy another brand of case. Needless to say I just ordered the black model. Want to see what the Inno Dock looks like and I will probably order that too.

Does not affect the pocketability at all. The soft touch material slides in without "grabbing" the material in you pocket. It is not like the rubbery material on the silicon cases, they are ridgid but the plastic "soft touch" coating is second to none.

I need you guys to post some close up pictures from several angles when you get these cases etc.

did any of you guys had any issues with the case seidio made for the palm pre? I remember going through at least 3 of them due to the clips that held on to the phone kept breaking,at least seidio knew of the issue and were nice enough to send me out the replacements. The poor pre even the accessories had quality problems.

Had the same thing happen to me. I don't think I will go that route this time and I'll just get a something like a Barely There case.

I had the same problem with my Seidio Pre case. I went through two of them and finally just gave up on getting replacements and decided to go without one. I halfway blame simply the Pre itself because it doesn't give a case manufacturer a really good way to latch a case to the phone (since it can't be two interlocking pieces like on a bar phone since the Pre is a slider, and the side "latches" are very small since there's very little room in the seam of the slider on the Pre).

In any case I did like their screen protector though and it's worked well. I'll consider their anti-glare screen protector. I loved having an anti-glare screen protector on my original iPhone back in the day, not so much because of glare but because it didn't show fingerprints nearly as much.

I had a Seidio case for my HTC Mogul which was a slider like the Pre. Because of that it had clips which could break. There's no way to avoid it because it has to attach to two halves of the phone and not hinder the sliding. That shouldn't be a problem with something like the EVO that's a slab, one solid brick of a device.

I had the holster clip break for the Pal Pre holster. I have a Centro holster that I had no issues with (and still have). I had an early one tfor the Pre that lacked the headphone cutout. I sent back to Precentral store for replacement and never heard back (didnt ping them back though). I just stopped using a case or holster completely.

I need a case/holster. I work in Corporate America, so I have a belt on everyday, and I need to have my phone with me at all times. I have a Sena case for my Pre. Great case. But I don't see one for the Evo on their site. I may order this one and an InvisiShield.

Has anyone used the Ultimate Screen Guard - Anti Glare in any other device? does it really help with the finger print???

I'm coming from an iphone 3gs and I like that about the 3gs because fingerprint will come off easy.

Thanks!

Thanks for the update. I have been waiting to see what Seidio comes out with for the EVO. My wife had an innocase and holster for her Blackberry and enjoyed it. I have used the clip holster for bare phone paired with an Invisi Shield on my Samsung Instinct. Its fits nice but tends to wear the shield over time. But you can always take the shield back to the retailer if you had them install it and it will be covered under warranty so worst case your out a few bucks for labor (if they even charge you) and have a brand new shield.

Ill probably go with a bare phone seidio holster on the EVO along with a ghost armor shield or Invisi Shield.

I have used a Seidio for my iPhone 3GS for close to a year now, and really like it. The side tabs have broken off, but given the moderate abuse my phone has seen, that's not too bad. I live the felt lining that helps keep plastic away from the phone.

I may have to order one of these. I remember seeing some cases that were supposed to be available at Sprint on release day, and I thought it was in this forum, but can't seem to find them. They had some dual-color cases and such, I believe with the Phandroid watermark. Anyone know what I am talking about and have a link?

Yes stay away from the audio port versions (if applicable to the EVO) since the double spring loaded clip was very bad quality and the wrong move would snap it off .... actually was sent a non-audio port version of the Spring loaded case and while its annoying not having the port free especially at the gym, the case is actually better quality thus far -

FYI the cases have a 3mo warranty I believe, something like that no questions asked as long as you can send them the defective unit back they will replace it -
