Sending photos via text message problem?

Hi, anyone know how to send photos via a text message? Whenever I try on my new OnePlus 8 Pro it just says “sending” and then nothing happens. I’m getting frustrated. Thanks

Which carrier you on? It only happens with picture text , regular texting ok ? And which message app?

I’m on Sky Mobile in the UK and it happens just when sending photos. Regular texting is ok. I’m using the stock messaging app.

Try clearing data, cache , force stop that app
If still happening try reset network

Sorry, a bit of a novice on Android. I’m still getting my head around things. I don’t understand APN settings. On my iPhone this just worked. I know there must be a way, but I don’t know what it is.

Can you receive picture messages from others? And are you able to participate in a group text?

Yes. They're the same and no I can't receive picture messages. Haven't used group messaging.

Can you confirm that mobile data is on? If wi-fi is also on, turn that off temporarily and see if the messages go through.

This is a good idea. Sometimes my Wi-Fi being on as well as my mobile data seems to interfere with the time the picture takes to download.
