Sending Texts Codes Comes Back As Service Access Denied

Trying to play the taco bell Xbox one x game and u have to text the code on the box to a 4 or 6 digit number and I always get a instant reply as service access denied. Why am I getting this and is there anyway to get the texts to go through?

I had this happen on a idol 4s on T-mobile and a unlocked Axon 7.

Contact T-Mobile and see if there's any way to activate short codes for your plan.

Unless you're on the single specific no-contract SC plan, I don't think just being on an SC plan is the reason. I have a very old grandfathered plan (I pay for each incoming/outgoing text) and I get four/five digit short codes just fine.

I agree with @raino. I'm on a grandfathered Simple Choice plan as well, and can text short codes as well. I wonder if that's a typo on the support page, or if they're referring to prepaid plans instead.

short codes are often blocked to prevent 3rd party billing. simple call to 611 will fix it
