Sense 5 is now my favorite UI, over Stock Android as well

While I haven't used the stock UI (hell, I can't even FIND a Nexus 4 to play with in my area) I am in love with Sense 5! I find it very easy to use, looks good and doesn't cause any lag or slowdown. I find it much better than the Touchwiz nonsense the my wife's Note II came with. I'm not anti-Samsung but I would run stock UI on her phone in a heartbeat if she would let me. Sense has been fantastic so far. I swapped it out with Go Launcher and a few other random customizable programs but I always quickly went back to the default Sense 5. It just works!

I like this version of sense a lot better also. I still like stock Android but Sense 5 is close.

I really really love sense 5 but after using Nova launcher for a bit I think I enjoy it more. I did miss blink feed, but someone told me how to get blink feed with an easy short cut button and it works perfectly! It is like having the best of both worlds for me now! Overall though I LOVE the HTC One and I LOVE Android! I'm very glad that I made the change from my iPhone 4S

I like it, but it isn't without flaws.

1. You can't drag directly from the full app drawer to the homescreen.
Work around: Reverse pinch on the homescreen and use that app drawer instead.

2. There is no access to the 'Choose input method' menu after initially selecting which keyboard you want to use during setup.
Work around: Download a new keyboard app and it will have an option to open up the 'Choose input method' menu.

3. You can't drag icons from your homescreen or the reverse pinch app drawer onto your quick app bar (or whatever this UI piece is called)
Work around: Drag icons from the full sized app drawer.

4. Can't kill all apps at once
Work around: None. You have to double tap home and slide each app off the screen to kill it. When doing this the apps shift making it hard to quickly drag one after another.

I saw an awesome setup on mycolorscreen so I have been thinking of installing a launcher, but does anyone know if using a launcher will drain the battery? I'm having huge battery issues with this thing and anything that will waste that more I am staying away from.

People (myself included) are OCD about clearing their notification bar.
When there is something there you can't clear, it drive people nuts.

It is an illness, please don't judge us. :p

Oh no. I have issues like this and I am going to go check out the HTC One and S4 tomorrow at a store to decide.. Could you elaborate more on the issue? Is it some notification asking you to turn on power saving? :P

It's a notification perminently in notification centre (not in notification bar unless turned on) can be removed as preveously said

I haven't noticed a change. I still get 15+ hours on one charge. When I look at what uses my battery most it shows that Gmail and text messaging are the number one drainers, followed up by music streaming programs (spotify, pandora, etc) Nova launcher is wayyy down at the bottom of the list.
