Ive had my Droid X for about a month now and today I loaded some albums onto it to listen during the long drive over the holidays. My custom ring tones are mixed in with the albums I put on my memory card when I go into the the list of albums. Is there anyway to put them on the memory card to keep them separated???

Still looking for an answer on this one. I have not had the same issues with my DX but this is turning into a common problem.

Folders : ) Create them, and organize it. The DX actually does great when given the opportunity. All computers I know would be a mess without properly named and assigned folders, same for the X.

I tried to get the stock player not to lump my ringtones in with my music, but failed to do so. I then tried using a"Media folder" that contained a separate folder for ringtones, photos, music, and videos. Again, that did not work. I downloaded "Winamp" hoping that might work, it did not. Finally, I decided to give "PowerAmp" a shot. To my surprise it worked! I now enjoy hours of music with no ringtones. So far it is the only solution I have found that works.

Meridian is doing it for me. basically it lets me tell it where to look for my music and I just store my custom ringtones in another folder.

power amp is great because you can tell it what folders specifically to look for music in. the other option is just to create a folder called ringtones and place them all there. thats what i did intially and never had a problem.
