Seriously considering Samsung 10 x+ when it comes out

I've gone Galaxy S3 thru S8, until I decided to try the Pixel 3XL. I'll never go back as this is the smoothest operating phone I have used to date. I'm liking the intuitive stuff it provides (and hides when I don't want it - without going thru menus), the camera is excellent, sound is amazing (no buzz or popping) - I'm sold on the Google...

Galaxy Nexus
S3
S4
S6
S8
Pixel 3 XL

I love my Pixel. Not a large number of cases that I like, but I'm careful with my device anyway.

Great Battery Life so far.

By far the pixel is the best android device on the market today period! Samsungs pricing is out of hand as others are smartphone sales are falling daily so having the best device with little or no flaws is the reason I stick with the pixel devices.

That's another solid phone

Moved from pixel to 6T as my back up. With Pixel, intelligence is baked in and 6T feels dumb though super fast. Also can't appreciate this screen. Bad move, will never do this again.

Lol...why it feels dumb the 6t , it's more customized,fast,Google assistant on board .

You should use it to know :). Customization is different from smartness. Customization is how flexible to use, smartness is how you are given information based on usage, location, time etc. Gboard is great example for it at an app level. By the way after using Pixel or Samsung note 8 camera, you will not appreciate 6t camera.

I don't know if you know me through the forums, but I have both pix 2xl and 3xl also the note 9 and 1+6 not the T
Camera on 1+6 is a great camera but your not going to get perfect shot all the time but when you do it's up there with all the other phones.
You go into widgets for 1+6 it gives you Google at at a glance ,has the stock g board not sure what you meaning by location, usuage, time because it runs Google calendar and host of other Google stuff .

I'm really liking the Note 9. It just has so much to offer and many tasks are easier. I'm considering selling my Pixel 3xl

I used to pretend to 'try' out the new phone....all of them, at each release time. I have no doubt, from experience, the Samsung phones are really really good. But, they're not for me. Not because of anything anyone wrote. Instead, I applied my own eye test with the S3/4 Note. S6 edge,S8. Only the S4 Note lasted more than a few weeks. When the Nexus devices came out, all android phones were compared to them. I was an Windows Phone guy, so android was only a hobby. When that died, it was the memories of the Nexus that came back to me. Though I continued to 'try' new phones, I think I always will. But, the Samsung will not one of them. I'm firmly locked in the Pixel now and occasionally dabble with iPhone.

What kind of issue you been having ? Only issue I get once in a while if I jump off WiFi I only get h+ service until I reboot device on ATT. Then back to lte or fake 5g what ever they call it lol

Thank you for mentioning this. I occasionally have the same issue with Sprint. Most of the time it defaults to LTE, when leaving WiFi, but I think the problem occurs when the signal is worse than normal. So, I've wondered if it's an issue with the phone or carrier. All of my settings, even in developer options, are correct. It's not difficult to reset the device config, or restart the phone. Just thought it strange that it would be an issue.

No more Samsung phones for me.. at least not in the near future.
