I've been trying to obtain a Samsung Account since I got my tablet. I wanted to get one so whenever there are system.software updates. But every time I tried to create an account it says that one already exists, when in fact that's BS cause I don't have one. Ive even tried setting one up by using other emails addresses I have and still NOTHING. Im already aware that the Samsung account on my tablet is different than my Samsung.com account, but I still cant set one up. Anyone know whats up? Or having the same issues?

Yes, I had this issue, and I found the answer here, so I signed up. Let me find the thread.

Yes, check the thread (pg 3) and follow the steps. Clear data and cache from those 2 apps, then open the Samsung App store and agree to the terms.

Then you will have to remember what email and password you used to try to sign up first, and it will go through.

According to Samsung the account you make from home computer is different from the account you make from your tab. Try making an account from your tab and your problem should be fixed, mine was.

I created my account from the web site and have had no problems. Interestingly enough I wanted to see what would happen if I tried creating an account from the tab...so I tried to delete the Samsung account. But when I tried it told me I couldn't do this without wiping the tablet back to factory default.

Needless to say I wasn't that curious.

Ok this is what worked for me but first make sure you have an account setup and know what password you used along with your email address when you first created a samsung account, once this is confirmed do a factory reset where everything gets erased. When you boot back up, setup everything as when first unboxed. After all is said and done go to 'About Tablet' 'System Update' this should start the process again. Give it a shot.

just don't setup the account from the accounts area, do it from the about tablet area. Also give Samsung a call, their support was able to help me out.

I got my tab on june 8, bb nyc. i signed into the samsung account on my tab with the same information that i used on samsung.com, it didn't give any problem. in fact i received the stability update that came out on the 4th so something is strange.
