Ok seriously, this is getting ridiculous. Where the heck are all the phones hiding at?

You know Samsung are making a ton of them, and there is no way that there are that many pre-orders to consume all the phones being made. So the basic question is where are the phones!?

Neither AT&T or Verizon made any official announcements on availability. They really need to make a statement. The GS3 is the hottest non iPhone of 2012 and its crazy for them to keep silent.

I work for AT&T and the 28th was kinda like the unofficial launch date, but now it's pushed back indefinitely. We have no idea when we'll have either phones to sell or even have demo phones to show people.

Of course Verizon is just as bad in keeping their mouth shut. You have one of the hottest phones of the year that every one wants, yet they don't say when we can get it. I'm tired of waiting already. Just give me my darn phone already!

Look at Sprint. One of the worst carriers in the USA and they seem to be doing a better job at having phones to sell and better press on the matter.

This whole situation is like having a gorgeous model type chick, and only being able to see her naked in a magazine and not being able to touch the goods yourself and enjoy it. :)

So to the carriers, stop the BS and just release the phone already .

I pre-ordered via TargetMobile on the 20th (upgrade - ATT). There was a brief "blip" with an expected ship date that showed up on my order today - and then it was gone and says "awaiting inventory". The receipt says it will ship on the 28th - so we'll see. If it doesn't, well, I guess I'll be in the complaint line. Freakin' ridiculous - no wonder they estimate today's corporate loss @ Samsung was $2 million. Oh yea, that is probably peanuts to them.................

28th was suspected just due to merchandising. Funny csp had an article this evening saying TBD is now the launch date. Probably just gonna preorder now.

I've got them all in my bedroom. I like to swim through them like Scrooge McDuck through a pile of coins.

Samsung had over 9 million preorders. That's a lot of phones to get out there.

i just ordered tonight from att, few hours later got my shipping confirm, and free overnight shipping.

I've has mine preordered since the June 6 at best buy for the $50 off and getting no answers either way... Driving me nuts....

Waiting on mine from VZW. I read about the 9-million preorders and found the number to be the number of preorder from carriers around the globe - not individuals in the US or UK.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Pre-Order Numbers Far From Being Accurate

So, back in May Samsung got 9-million preorders globally and their factories can produce 5-million S3's x month. Looks like they should be caught up by now!

You guys think you've got it bad, those of us on US Cellular don't even have a release date either, just a "4 to 6 weeks from preorder"...plus being the little carrier in this deal, we'll probably get pushed to the end of the line with nothing concrete in sight.

Oh well, I'm still excited that USCC was able to at least get the SGS3 at basically the same time as the big 4.

Was it hard to stamp your feet and type this post at the same time ?

My guess would be the shortage is because the phones are going to those who ordered them first.

The number of North American pre sales pales in comparison to what was sold overseas. If I recall correctly Samsung said 9 million were sold. Now after North American pre orders they are near 10 million. Add in the delay they experienced overseas due to the bad battery doors and Samsung probably can't make them fast enough.

I don't care what kind of phone you use, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence. Sent using tapatalk 2.

And aren't there supply limitations with the S4 chip?

Just a few posts up here.

Preorders refers to carrier preorders, not customer. Looks like all carriers ordered from Samsung in advance, which provided the 9-million number you refer to. Their factory churns out 5-million units x month at max capacity. So two months to have them manufactured, shipped, then whatever each carrier has to do to them.

I knowI don't wanna wait longer, I can't believe I had the patience thus far. Hurry up verizon, Samsung, customs.

This Sunday when I wake up....I will have my cup of coffee....have my oatmeal with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries......leave my house at 8:30am and be by the store right b4 they open up at 9am (or whatever time they open up)......walk into Sprint store and ask for my 32gb blue SGS3......THEY BETTER HAVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! The end!! :)

all the phones are in fort worth texas, ha thats where both of mine that I ordered came from. seriously if you have no reason to go through best buy or someone else just call att and order it and get your free over night shipping. you will have the phone tomorrow and get to enjoy it all weekend.

I ordered my white GS3 from AT&T on Thursday June 21st, one week ago today. It shipped the very next day via overnight with a Saturday delivery date. I didn't expect it to ship anywhere near that fast and had it shipped to my workplace. So, I received it this past Monday. No wait whatsoever for me :D

Since I am leaving Sprint and their awesome 3G network (insert sarcasm) early I have to have my number ported over which means no preorder for me. Luckily one of my best friends works at my local AT&T store so the first phone they get will be mine. The only question is when will that be? My EVO 4G is on it's last leg and I am ready to put it out of its misery ASAP but I'm not going ape chit over the lack of availability..for now. ;)

I'm leaving sprint and pre-ordered no problem. It asks if you are switching numbers. So hopefully when I get it, there's no problems

The 9 million pre-orders were for outside North America, and the phone went on sale in Europe over a month ago, all of those pre-orders where more than likely filled last month. Also you know the phone was probably in production at least a month before it went on sale. They don't just start making phones a few days before they sell it.

Someone screwed the pooch in the NA launch. I'm not sure whether it is the carrier's or Samsung.

Someone mentioned that for all their faults, Apple knows how to launch a product. For as much copying that Samsung does, you figure they could have copied a smooth launch. :)

They should have just came out right off the bat and said it will launch officially on (Insert Date), and all the carriers should have been prepared and launched them on that day. If there wasn't enough stock available for a lets say June 21st launch. then wait and do it on July 1st...etc... built up the stocks and have a proper launch, not this cluster mess it is right now.

It if didn't make matters worse by waiting for this crap, is that I'm also waiting for ICS to push to my Razr Maxx. Motorola is also pushing people's patience with that. Now that it is out of Soak test they are only pushing it out in small batches. The morons should just have an update program you can download like Samsung or HTC and just do it yourself instead of waiting for them to grace you with their OS Push.

So between Samsung and Motorola, I feel like going crazy.

They say patience is a virtue, well those two companies are pushing my virtue. :)

Well several different Verizon CSR's have told me their official launch is on July 11th. My order still shows a ship date of 7/9, as do many others, which means it could get here on the 10th. But us Verizon people will just have to wait till early July, which is what they have said from day 1, so no need to get upset.
